What we keep

Your phone number or your email, depending on how you signed in. That is where your code goes, and where the closing notice goes. There is no password at all.

If you signed in with Google: they give us your email, your name, and a number that identifies your account with them. We do not take your photo.

The name you type, so your friends recognise you on a tab.

The tabs you are on: the expenses, the amounts, and who paid what.

Your InstaPay address, if you enter one. It is optional, and only whoever is paying you sees it.

Receipt photos

When you photograph a bill, the photo is stored with us and sent to a reading service (Google Gemini) to pull out the lines and the amounts.

Only the photo of the bill is sent. Not your name, not your number, nothing about the tab.

The photo stays attached to the tab until you delete it or the tab is deleted.

Who sees your data

The people on the tab see your name, what you paid, and your share. That is the whole idea.

When a tab closes we send everyone who owes money the amount and the address: on WhatsApp if we have their number, and by email if that is all we have.

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and there are no adverts.

What we count

We count pages opened and steps taken, with a tool running on our own server. No cookies and no third party.

Links are cleaned on your phone before anything is sent: an invite link is stripped out, and so are phone numbers and email addresses. What reaches us is a count.

How long we keep it

A tab and its photos stay for as long as your account does, so you can look back at an old tab whenever you want.

You can delete your account from the You page in the app, and 7asebly.com/delete-account says exactly what that removes.

Your rights

You can see and change your name and your payout link on the You page in the app.

You can delete any receipt photo you took.

You can delete your account whenever you want. Your number, your email and your payout link go with it, and a tab other people were on keeps your name on its seat so their totals still add up.
